Tong Tejani Statement on George Floyd

In the wake of George Floyd’s unnecessary killing by police officers and the most recent string of high-profile senseless acts of violence and systemic racism against our Black brothers and sisters, we stand with the Black community against racism, hate, and violence. In addition to speaking out, we are acting.

We are re-committing ourselves to anti-racism, education on topics of racial injustice, and helping Black lawyers and law students succeed. We have signed up for the CCWC Volunteer Lawyer Criminal Justice Project. We've also made a donation to the Equal Justice Initiative. We recognize that this isn’t enough given the level of racial injustice in America, but we are committed to exploring ways to make a peaceful, positive difference. Black Lives Matter. ~Joyce & Zohra
