Tong Tejani Proud to Sponsor 2021 CLEO EDGE Honors Reception

Tong Tejani is so proud to sponsor the 2021 CLEO EDGE Awards, alongside co-sponsors Lincoln Financial Group and the Association of Corporate Counsel.

CLEO (Council on Legal Education Opportunity, Inc.) programs help build a pipeline of diverse talent for the legal profession. Each year, the Edge awards honor a total of four individuals, law schools, law firms, corporations, associations, etc. that have made significant accomplishments, or demonstrated commitments to Education, Diversity, and Greater Equality in the legal profession. These are also critical values to Tong Tejani, so it was only natural for us to help support the awards.

As the CLEO EDGE awards website explains, "Founded in 1968 when the number of lawyers of color was less than one percent, the Council on Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO) has worked to increase the number of lawyers from diverse backgrounds for the last half century. Although best known for its Pre-Law Summer Institute “boot camp,” CLEO provides services to high school, pre-law, and law school students which include mentoring, placement assistance, academic counseling and support, scholarships, and bar prep orientation. Since inception, more than 27,000 individuals have participated in a CLEO program and/or utilized an offered service."
